MNDAKSPAN Special Election - Call For Nominees

MNDAKSPAN is holding a special election to immediately fill the open position of Vice President/President-Elect for the remaining 2022-23 term. Call for nominations/willingness to serve will remain open until July 6th, 2022. Voting will take place from July 7th, 2022 to August 6th, 2022.

Eligibility: You must have been a MNDAKSPAN member for the past year and it is strongly recommended that you have served 1 term on the MNDAKSPAN Board in any position.

Term of the position: Vice President/President-Elect through April 2023 then 2 years as President and 1 year as Past President.

Responsibilities:

The Vice President/President-Elect shall:

Assist the President as requested.
Serve as parliamentarian for the Association, so as to become familiar with parliamentary procedure in preparation for the role of President.
Serve as chairperson of the Bylaws committee, and review the Bylaws and Policy and Procedures yearly.
Become acquainted with the administration of the affairs of the Association, and the duties and responsibilities of the Office of President.
Preside at meetings in the absence of the President.
Keep abreast of government affairs and current issues that will impact perianesthesia nursing practice.
Provide the Director of Membership and Marketing with current issues related to Governmental Affairs, minimally on a quarterly basis and more often as needed, to keep members informed and website current with issues related to Governmental Affairs.
