Thank You! from Can Do Canines

Posted over 3 years ago by Website Director

Dear MNDAKSPAN,

Thank you for joining the Can Do Canines community and making it possible for more assistance dogs to get to work this year with your donation to Can Do Canines.  Your gift of $200.00 was received in our office on January 28, 2022.  Your support will help us continue training assistance dogs in order to certify more like Melissa and Crush.

Melissa has postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), which affects her heart rate and blood pressure.  When she has an onset of symptoms, she gets dizzy and disorientated quickly.  Crush is trained to retrieve items for her so that she doesn't have to bend over.  He can also lie over her legs if she needs pressure therapy to help with blood pressure changes.  The peace of mind Crush brings to Melissa means that she feels confident to live on her own and take the next step in her career.

"Crush is the most amazing thing in my life.  He makes such a difference.  Financially, this wouldn't be possible (if he wasn't provided free of charge).  I feel like I got part of my life back." -- Melissa

Your support ensures that we can continue providing these life-changing assistance dogs free of charge to people who need them now.  Thank you for giving the gifts of freedom, independence and peace of mind.

With gratitude,

Janet Cobus
