MNDAKSPAN Fargo Conference -- Why Not A Virtual Option?
Posted almost 4 years ago
We have had several people ask about the option of a virtual conference in Fargo. The following is a message from the MNDAKSPAN Director of Education:
I appreciate you reaching out regarding the option of a virtual conference. We were very excited to hear the overwhelmingly positive response to our virtual conference this past February as well! We definitely would like to continue to offer virtual opportunities, but we know there is still a learning curve to being able to provide a consistent method of doing so. In contrast to the full Zoom event we did in February, offering a virtual conference during a live event requires different equipment and potential contractual agreements with venues/presenters that may vary with each conference. We would prefer to be able to have a more consistent, dependable method of providing virtual opportunities to attendees.

For this upcoming conference at the end of September, we have asked all presenters if they would be willing to record their presentations for us to offer online to those who are unable to attend the live event. While we cannot guarantee they will be willing to do so, we sincerely hope we have at least a few who share their recorded presentations with us so we can share with all of you!
Please know that we are doing research in the background to find ways to offer virtual opportunities consistently in the future, but in the meantime we may have to be creative. Please let us know if you have other ideas moving forward. We are always open for feedback.
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you at future conferences!
