Outcome
Enable perianethesia and perioperative nurses to increase their knowledge on evidence based practices in the following areas: development of emergency carts and there use and maintenance, strategies to reduce narcotic use in surgery, including the use of Iovera for pain management, how to remain curious when caring for patients, the in’s and out’s of the new smoke evacuation law in Minnesota and how it will affect our practice, caring for the pediatric tonsillectomy patient, care of women in perimenopause and menopause, care of vascular patients needing amputations, taking care of transgender patients, maternal mental health, and protecting patients skin from insults and pressure injury as demonstrated by 80% or more of the participants scoring 80% or higher on the post test.
